After the stresses and strains of Wild Honey we needed something a little more simple! Hay Fever was a beautifully lightweight favourite of our audiences, and one upon which we all really enjoyed working.

Memories, Letters and Publicity

Fred’s draft for the programme. This was a simple one to typeset, but some of the bigger shows had quite complex settings – and the occasional last-minute alterations!

And hot on the heels of this show came the mailing letter for the next one – Frederick Lonsdale’s hilarious comedy On Approval. And if nothing else it shows to devastating effect the unwise use of an italic display font in a letter format . . .
